Legal
Licensing, the third-party work these tools build on, and the trademarks that belong to other people. The binding documents are LICENSE and NOTICE.md in the repository; this page summarizes them.
MifBridge and MifBlender
© 2026 Mifsopo (“Mif”). All rights reserved. MifBridge is proprietary and not redistributable. It is licensed, not sold.
The MifBlender add-on is the exception. It carries its own MIT license and is a free download, MifBlender-1.2.0.zip, separate from the Fab package. Blender’s license treats add-ons that use its Python API as needing a GPL-compatible license when they are published, and MIT is one. Everything below about MifBridge applies to the Unreal Engine plugin and the MCP server.
If you obtained it through an authorized channel (a purchase on Epic’s Fab marketplace, a purchase on this site under its terms of sale, or a written grant), you may install and use it on any number of machines you control, including for commercial work, and modify it for your own use.
Assets, levels, Blueprints, builds and games you produce while using these tools carry no obligation to us. Nothing in the license attaches to your output.
You may not redistribute it in any form, ship it inside a product other than as the compiled result of your own project, remove its notices, or use it to build a competing product for distribution. Where you obtained it through Fab, the Fab End User License Agreement governs and this summary does not narrow it.
Earlier versions were MIT, and that stands
MifBridge was released under the MIT license up to and including version 0.9.0. That grant is not withdrawn: if you received a version under MIT, you keep the rights MIT gave you for that version. The change applies going forward, not backwards.
The free edition for Drug Dealer Simulator 2 modding, MifBridge-dds2, is a frozen copy of 0.9.0 and stays MIT. It does not receive the updates sold here and on Fab.
Contributions
If you contribute to MifBridge (code, documentation, tests or anything else merged into it), you keep the copyright in what you wrote. By submitting it you give the copyright holder a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, copy, modify, distribute, sublicense and sell it as part of MifBridge, under these terms or any terms the project adopts later, including sale on Fab, and you confirm you have the right to give that license. Contributors are credited in NOTICE.md.
Third-party work
| Project | License | How it is used |
|---|---|---|
| blender-mcp | MIT, © 2025 Siddharth Ahuja | MifBlender adapts two patterns: the length-prefixed JSON socket protocol, and the approach to marshalling work onto Blender’s main thread before touching bpy. The full MIT permission notice is reproduced in NOTICE.md. |
| MifKismetReconstructor | GPL-3.0 | A separate project in its own repository. It is not bundled with MifBridge, and its copyleft terms do not reach across to it. |
Trademarks
Unreal and Unreal Engine are trademarks or registered trademarks of Epic Games, Inc. Blender is a registered trademark of the Blender Foundation. Mifsopo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Epic Games or the Blender Foundation. These tools are independent software that works alongside their products.
Buying MifBridge on this site
MifBridge is also sold here, on the terms of sale. Stripe takes the payment and sells it as the merchant of record, so the receipt and invoice come from Stripe. It is the same release as on Fab, with the same license; buying here is the copyright holder’s written grant under section 1 of the LICENSE. Each purchase has a license ID, shown in My purchases.
Products sold on Fab
Marketplace products, including the Small Oil Rig FPS Map, are sold through Epic’s Fab under Fab’s own license terms, which you accept at purchase. Every asset in that product was made for it; none of it is resold third-party content.
No warranty
These tools drive a live editor and can change your project. They are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind. Keep backups and use source control, which you should be doing anyway.
