What this is

We keep a ledger of facts while building MifBridge and MifBlender. A fact goes in when it is confirmed, with its source. Each row here was measured in a running editor or read from engine source. A guess never gets a row, and a project document saying so does not count as a source.

How to read a row

  • Source is the citation: usually an engine file and line, such as Engine/Source/Runtime/Engine/Private/Components/RectLightComponent.cpp:183, or the measurement that produced the number. A path that starts with tools/ names a check in our development repository, which does not ship in the download.
  • The version tag is the engine or Blender build the fact was read or measured on. A fact from one version is not automatically true of another. Line numbers for 5.3 come from a 5.3.2 source build and can sit a few lines away from a launcher install.
  • Superseded (28 rows) marks a row later corrected or overtaken. We keep these on purpose: an old answer you may meet elsewhere is more useful labeled than removed. The row says what changed, and where a replacement row is known it links to it.
  • Newer than 1.3.0 (8 rows) marks a row about our tools from after the build on sale. MifBridge 1.3.0 is the current release and the free MifBlender is 1.3.1, so a labeled behavior may arrive with the next release.

Row ids have gaps, because rows that concern private work are left out. Numbers in a row are exactly as recorded. If you find a row that is wrong, tell us: a wrong row is worse than a missing one.
